Yes .. I know. I haven’t been posting to the blog for a few weeks.
What has been happening since my last post … gee … it has been a month since the last post!!! That is really bad!
Not a lot has been happening hence the lack of posting to the blog I guess. I have a date with the tour de France on the 7th July on London where I will be assisting in crowd control for the prologue (Individual Time Trial) around some of the parks and Buckingham Palace. It will hopefully be good weather unlike the weather of the past few weeks.
It has been raining pretty hard at times. So hard that the other day the roof was leaking and we had a little bit of a puddle to attend to in the laundry. If we had a puppy we would have blamed it for the mess! Graeme came around the next day to take a look at it and he ran some silicon over some of the roof where it may have been coming in. Not sure if it has totally fixed it but it has leaked since but then we haven’t had extremely heavy rain like that night.
Not been on the bike for a few weeks generally because of the rain but also because I have been trying to finalize some work that I have been doing. I think I am now on top of that so hopefully the skies will clear and I will get out on the bike again.
We aren’t the only ones getting a battering from mother nature. Back home in Australia they have been have some extreme weather. Before last week, Australia was experiencing something called a drought and had been for several years really. With water levels in the major dams diminishing to some of the lowest levels ever. Then they had some terenchal rains and some pretty good winds from the south too. The result was this …. a cargo ship on the beach!! Some videos of it are on You Tube. They are currently attempting to tow it off the beach at the moment so here is to hoping it doesn’t break up as they do so. It might be me but I think it is weird that they are trying to tow it out by the bow when the bow is closest to shore. Surely you woulf just pull it straight out by the stern.
Not to worry … they now best.
