Well we put the clocks back to the standard time in the UK the other day so we are now 11 hours behind Australia. Now, back home in Oz, when the clock goes back it does get dark but not so damn quick as it does here that is for sure!
In the depths of an aussie winter, then sun will set in the west of the Illawarra escarpment at about 5:00 to 5:15. In Margate at the moment, the sun is setting at5:00 and it isn’t even the depths of winter yet. What is going on! Can’t we keep hold of that extra time for another month in the UK … please?
I will let you know what time the sun sets on the winter solstice. I am sure that it will be about 1pm … with the sunrise at 11am!
